NSW Q&A: New Strata Dog Laws. Can I Mind A Dog At Christmas?

Group of pets,Group of pets – Dog, cat, bird, reptile, rabbit, isolated on white

A Look Up Strata reader, who is a lot owner from NSW is concerned about their building’s new strata dog laws. Can they still mind a medium-sized dog for a few weeks this Christmas, or does this require permission from the Owners Corporation?

Answer: Strictly speaking, because they are minding a “medium” sized dog (rather than a small one), the owner will need the written approval of the Owners Corporation. We recommend to make contact with the strata manager as soon as possible to ensure the proper approvals are in place before the lot owner accepts the dog.
