Q&A: What is the correct strata plan invoicing process in NSW?

A LookUp Strata reader, owning a unit in a resort style strata accommodation in NSW, wanted to understand whether the invoicing procedures used in her strata plan were proper and following appropriate accounting procedures.

In summary, the party requiring the works is the party that should be invoiced; however, if you have other parties assisting with the co-ordination of the works i.e. a building manager, than they would be managing the payment process on your behalf although this does not change which entity should be invoiced.
